Chapter 6: Within the Walls

Back at the mansion, some of the ghosts at McVee Mansion are introduced. An elderly ghost expresses irritation at not having killed Olive, while Virdia shows frustration at her trapped predicament. Vaughn and another ghost reassure each other.

1 Back at the mansion, an elderly ghost speaks with a wounded Vaughn, stating that she "can't have anybody know the truth," and that she hopes she doesn't "regret not killing that moth myself."	2 As the elderly ghost vanishes, another ghost appears beside Vaughn. She says, "What were you doing, Vaughn? Trying to be a hero again? Saving them isn't going to fix anything for you." Vaughn responds, "What happened to me doesn't matter."
3 He continues, stating that the others who died at the mansion never deserved to die at the mansion. Virdia responds, "Why should they be able to leave, when I never had the choice?"	4 Virdia storms off, as a deflated Vaughn helplessly watches. Another ghost appears by Vaughn's side, giving him a hug.
5 "Do you think that gal will find Gilbert?" the other ghost asks. Vaughn expresses that he believes Olive will return whether or not she finds Gilbert.	6 Vaughn and the other ghost gently tease each other, deciding to keep an eye out for Olive's return. Vaughn states that "She'll need all the help from us she can get."
